A study on the job market for Chinese major graduates in Mozambique

摘要

随着中非合作的加强和中国-莫桑比克关系的深入发展，莫桑比克中文专业的发展及就业前景呈现积极态势。近年来，莫桑比克中文专业从无到有，持续扩招，并受到当地教育机构和中资企业的重视。目前，蒙德拉内大学和鲁伍玛大学等高校已培养近百位中文专业毕业生。本文关注莫桑比克中文专业学生供给、就业质量、就业市场现状、用人单位评价和就业市场需求分析，认为莫桑比克中文专业就业市场存在以下挑战：高水平中文人才短缺、中文+职业技能不足、中文教育领域缺乏行业准则、跨文化交际障碍。基于此，为莫桑比克中文专业的实践发展及政策制定提供依据。

Abstract

With the strengthening of China-Africa cooperation and the in-depth development of China-Mozambique relations, the development and employment prospects of Chinese language majors in Mozambique have shown a positive trend. In recent years, Chinese language majors in Mozambique have expanded continuously from scratch and have been valued by local educational institutions and Chinese-funded enterprises. At present, universities such as Mondlane University and Ruvuma University have trained nearly 100 Chinese majors. This paper focuses on the supply of Chinese majors in Mozambique, the quality of employment, the current situation of the job market, the evaluation of employers, and the analysis of job market demand, and concludes that there are the following challenges in the job market for Chinese majors in Mozambique: shortage of high-level Chinese language professionals, insufficient Chinese language + vocational skills, lack of industry guidelines in the field of Chinese language education, cross-cultural communication barriers. Based on this, it provides a basis for the development of practice and policy formulation of Chinese language professions in Mozambique.
