语料库辅助初中英语词汇教学的实践

摘要

词汇教学一直是英语教学的难点,当前的英语词汇教学方法仍然较为传统,教学效果不佳。随着大数据和信息技术的发展,语料库以其丰富的语言资源和自动检索功能,为词汇教学提供了新的思路。通过语料库,教师可以展示词汇在不同语境中的实际用法,帮助学生深入理解词汇的多义性和搭配规律,提高其语言运用能力。本文通过实践教学案例分析,展示了COCA语料库在初中英语词汇教学中的应用效果。研究表明,语料库不仅能增强学生的词汇理解,还能激发学习兴趣,培养自主学习能力。然而,教师需要具备一定的技术能力,并根据学生差异调整教学策略。

Abstract

Vocabulary teaching has always been a challenge in English education. Current methods of vocabulary instruction remain quite traditional, leading to poor teaching outcomes. With the development of big data and information technology, corpora, with their rich linguistic resources and automatic retrieval functions, offer a new approach to vocabulary teaching. Through corpora, teachers can demonstrate the practical use of vocabulary in different contexts, helping students gain a deeper understanding of word polysemy and collocational patterns, thus improving their language application skills. This paper analyzes practical teaching cases and demonstrates the effectiveness of using the COCA corpus in junior high school English vocabulary teaching. The study shows that corpora not only enhance students' understanding of vocabulary but also stimulate their interest in learning and foster independent learning skills. However, teachers need to have certain technical skills and adjust teaching strategies according to student differences.
