摘要
在文化强国与讲好中国故事的时代背景下,国产科教纪录片是展现中国科技实力、塑造国家科技形象、传播本土创新成果的重要媒介。但目前其翻译质量良莠不齐,存在术语翻译失准、文化适配薄弱、多模态话语协同不足等问题,阻碍了国际传播效果。本文以知识翻译学与多模态话语分析为理论支撑,结合《创新中国》《中国高铁》等典型案例,剖析翻译现存问题及成因,指出短板集中于术语标准缺失、译者跨学科素养不足、传播导向与翻译实践脱节、多模态内容协同失衡。据此,从搭建术语规范体系、培养复合型翻译人才、构建传播与翻译联动机制、完善多模态翻译策略四方面,提出优化对策,以期提升科教纪录片国际传播力,为建构中国科技话语体系提供理论参考与实践借鉴。

Abstract
This paper focuses on the English translation of domestic science and education documentaries, which are crucial for showcasing China’s scientific and technological strengths, spreading indigenous innovative achievements and boosting international cultural communication amid the drive to build a culturally powerful country. Nevertheless, their translation currently suffers from inconsistent quality, including faulty term translation, poor cultural adaptation and ineffective multimodal coordination, undermining global communication effects. Adopting knowledge translatology and multimodal discourse analysis theories and taking typical sci-tech documentaries as examples, the article explores major translation drawbacks and underlying causes. It further puts forward targeted optimization strategies concerning standardized terminology, interdisciplinary translators, integrated communication-translation mechanisms and multimodal translation improvement. The research intends to strengthen the international communication of such documentaries and offer references for constructing China’s sci-tech discourse system.
