A study on the application of the production-oriented approach in college English teaching under the background of ideological and political education
课程思政背景下产出导向法在大学英语教学中的运用研究

摘要
在当前全面落实“立德树人”根本任务的背景下,如何在外语工具性与人文性并重的大学英语课程中,自然有效地融入思政教育,已成为教学改革的关键挑战。针对育人元素渗透不足、学生“用英语做事”能力薄弱及评价方式单一等问题,本研究构建了“课程思政-产出导向法”融合教学模式,并以《新一代大学英语》“饮食文化”单元为例开展实践。依托U校园、学习通等平台,遵循“驱动—促成—评价”流程,设计“面向国际留学生的《中国饮食文化指南》”等产出任务,将价值塑造融入教学各环节。初步实践表明,该模式可有效激发学习责任感,同步提升语言运用能力、文化比较意识与思政认知水平,但大班教学中思政效果精细化评价仍存挑战。本研究为深化课程思政建设、推动中国特色外语教学理论应用提供了可操作的路径。

Abstract
Under the current background of fully implementing the fundamental task of “fostering virtue through education,” a key challenge in teaching reform is how to effectively and naturally integrate ideological and political education into the cultivation of language proficiency in college English courses, which emphasize both instrumental and humanistic aspects. In response to issues such as insufficient integration of educational elements, students’ weak ability to “use English to do things,” and a monolithic evaluation approach, this study constructs an integrated teaching model of “ideological and political education+Production-Oriented Approach (POA).” Taking the “Dietary Culture” unit of New Generation College English as an example, the study follows the “Motivating-Enabling-Assessing” teaching process and, based on platforms such as U Campus and Chaoxing App, designs driving output tasks such as “A Guide to Chinese Dietary Culture for International Students,” thereby organically integrating value shaping into all stages of language teaching. Preliminary practice shows that this model can effectively stimulate students’ sense of learning responsibility, simultaneously enhancing their language application skills, cross-cultural awareness, and ideological-political cognition. However, challenges remain in conducting refined assessment of the ideological and political effects in large-class teaching. This study provides an operable pathway for deepening the development of ideological and political education in college English and promoting the application of foreign language teaching theories with Chinese characteristics.
