Research on the current situation of English teaching in primary schools in Chongqing——Based on an empirical investigation of 38 district and county curriculum researchers in the city
重庆小学英语教学现状研究——基于对全市38个区县教研员的实证调研

摘要
本研究基于对重庆市38个区县小学英语教研员的调研数据,揭示其教学现状的城乡分化与结构性矛盾。主城区依托高频教研与资源整合推进核心素养教学,而农村地区因师资短缺、教研缺失及学科边缘化,陷入“低开课率—低质量—低认同”恶性循环。教师面临职业倦怠、专业退化与激励缺位,教材混杂、评价僵化与素养目标脱节加剧教学困境。建议构建三级教研体系促进城乡资源联动,推动分层培训与数字化转型;以单元主题整合、智能评课等深化课堂改革,提升核心素养培养实效;强化政策保障,优化学科地位与师资投入。本研究以期为西部小学英语教育均衡发展,以及指向核心素养落地的英语学科提质改革提供实践参照。

Abstract
This study is based on the survey data of 38 district and county-level English teaching coordinators in Chongqing City, revealing the urban-rural differentiation and structural contradictions in their teaching situations. The main urban area relies on frequent teaching research and resource integration to promote core literacy teaching, while rural areas, due to the shortage of teachers, lack of teaching resources, and marginalization of the subject, have fallen into a vicious cycle of "low class attendance rate - low quality - low recognition". Teachers face job burnout, professional degeneration, and lack of incentives. The mixed textbooks, rigid evaluation, and disconnection of the quality goals exacerbate the teaching difficulties. It is suggested to build a three-level teaching research system to promote the linkage of urban and rural resources, and promote stratified training and digital transformation; deepen classroom reform through unit themes integration, intelligent assessment, etc., to enhance the effectiveness of core literacy cultivation; strengthen policy guarantees, optimize the status of the subject and the investment in teachers. This study aims to provide practical references for the balanced development of primary school English education in the western region and the quality improvement reform of the English subject aimed at the implementation of core literacy.
